Our mission is to study and share the unique nature and heritage of St. Martin and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

We pursue this mission on the island of Saint Martin and around the globe in several ways:<\/p>\n

Publications<\/h2>\n

Les Fruits de Mer works to advance and celebrate knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and natural heritage with publications for people of all ages, locally and internationally.<\/p>\n

We have published two editions of The Incomplete Guide to the Wildlife of Saint Martin<\/em>, which showcases the unique terrestrial wildlife of St. Martin, and are currently preparing a French-language version of the guide for publication and guide for the island of Statia. We also write weekly wildlife columns in local newspapers and have produced over a dozen ebooks highlighting local nature. We also produce original activity books for children. All of our publications are available for free in our Resources section<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Events<\/h2>\n

Les Fruits de Mer produces multiple wildlife education events each year, including the Migratory Bird Festival and Endemic Animal Festivals. Our events are free and open to the public. We combine wildlife and ecology education with hands-on discovery stations and fun art activities. We also host exhibitions and other special events like our Heritage Photo Contest exhibition. Film<\/h2>\n

Les Fruits de Mer has produced over a dozen short documentary films exploring nature on St. Martin and in the region. We are also currently working on longer-form projects, including a film about St. Martin\u2019s Great Salt Pond. You can watch some of the films we have made in our Resources section<\/a> and in the Amuseum Naturalis online theater<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Museum and Exhibits<\/h2>\n

We have produced two iterations of our pop-up natural history museum, Amuseum Naturalis<\/a> in Grand Case, reaching over 10,000 visitors in two seasons. We have also developed individual exhibits for display at our events or in other spaces. We developed interpretive signage telling the story of unique native animals for St. Maarten Park and are currently developing interpretive signage installations on St. Martin and other islands. <\/p>\n\t\t\t
